Whatsapp increased its group limit and Supportbuddy can guide you in this

As we know whatsapp has been proving its mettle to make it the most used messaging app every time it comes with a new add on ever since its inception.

This time it has increased the group members’ limit from 100 to 256. That means you can add as many as 256 members in a group as earlier the limit was only up to 100 members. With this there has been a rise of 2.56 times that the current members’ limit. Both iOS and Android devices will witness this change. There isn’t any specific update from the company’s end on the change as it has been volunteered from their end.

The group limit has been changed for the first time after 2014 as it was earlier confined to 50 members. The correction was for 100 members in 2014 and currently, it poised at 256. This change is automatically updated in your whatsapp and even if it does not, you can download new whatsapp from the play store which can support members up to 256.

Although this change has been made in 2016, it has not been very popular due to various reasons. There may be a probability that very few groups are interested in adding above 256 members. Though whatsapp video calling has been introduced after the group limit increase, it has been creating ripples if the computer supports orderly.
